Q.
Do I need a license?
A. No you do not need
a license. The boats are governed back to not exceed 10 knots so that
unlicensed drivers can drive them.
Q.
Is it difficult to drive the boats?
A. No it is not difficult
it’s much like steering a car and we assist you with the mooring
as you arrive back at the marina.
Q.
Is it safe?
A. Yes it is perfectly
safe, we give you a full safety briefing before you go out onto the
Broadwater and Nerang River which are both lovely calm waters. There
is a life jacket for each person on board and the boats have “positive”
floatation which means they can’t sink.
Q.
How will I find my way around?
A. We provide you with
a coloured map of the area that you may cruise in which indicates
very clearly where to go. We also give you a briefing of the rules
on the water and answer any questions that you may have.
Q.
What do I do if I have a problem?
A. You call us on your
mobile phone and we will send out our patrol boat to assist you. There
is also additional assistance available in the form of the Coast Guard
and VMR (Voluntary Marine Rescue) Service who patrols the area and
gives assistance to people who are in any danger.
Q.
What do I need to bring with me?
A. Personal effects,
if you are going out on a cruise for a few hours or for the day we
recommend you take sun glasses, hats, sun block, food with preferred
drink and any other effects you may wish to use on the day. We hire
fishing rods and you can buy bait, ice and cold drinks from
our office at the marina.
Q.
How do I find you?
A. We are located at Mariners Cove Marina on Seaworld Drive beside Marina Mirage.
Q.
Is there parking available?
A. At Mariners Cove
there is plenty of parking as well as in Marina Mirage underground
parking.
Q.
Do I need to book in advance?

during holiday periods it is wise to book in advance to avoid disappointment.
